Clinic & Sleep Lab Reopening
We are pleased to announce that the Centre for Sleep & Human Performance will be reopening on Tuesday, May 19, 2020. We want to reassure patients that we have implemented all the safety measures and requirements of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta Sleep Medicine Advisory Committee to ensure a safe in-person encounter with your sleep specialist. We have made some significant changes to the services we can offer patients to improve your care and your access to care from the Centre so make sure to ask the reception staff about our new Sleep Programs!
We will be screening all patients and staff in order to ensure everyone's safety. When booking an appointment, patients will complete a screening questionnaire via telephone and a secondary in-person screening will be required before entering the clinic. All clinic staff will be screened each day prior to entering the clinic.
Patient appointment times will be staggered to enable social distancing and to provide time for screening and cleaning treatment areas. Clinic waiting areas will be arranged to maintain the two-metre physical distancing requirements.
PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
The Centre for Sleep is adhering to all PPE recommendations by Alberta Health Services. Additionally, masks will be offered to patients if needed.
Enhanced Cleaning, Disinfecting, & safety measures
In addition to the thorough cleaning that the clinic will undergo each day, staff will clean any equipment used and all high touch surfaces, such as door handles, following every appointment. Furthermore, plexiglass screen guards have been installed at all clinics at reception.
We look forward to seeing you back in the Centre and helping you achieve a deep, restful sleep!
