Sleep Deprivation is Costing the Canadian Economy Billions

In November of 2016, the research group RAND published the results of their year-long study about the effects of sleep deprivation on the economy. Their findings? Lack of sleep is costing the Canadian economy 21.4 billion dollars! The Canadian HR Reporter, a national journal of human resource management, wrote an excellent article about the study and how human resource managers can help to combat this problem. Centre for Sleep’s Medical Director, Dr. Samuels contributed his expertise for the publication.
